Zambia Receives Medical Equipment Worth USD 1 Million From The Government Of India

A shipment of medical equipment worth about one million US dollars was delivered to Health Minister Dr. Elijah J. Muchima today by the Republic of India’s government and citizens.

Anaesthesia equipment, operating room (OT) tables and lighting, dental chair units, baby incubators, baby resuscitaires, patient monitors, and hospital beds are all included in the donation. Health facilities nationwide will receive these vital medical supplies, with an emphasis on improving district and provincial service delivery.

For their prompt and kind donation, Minister Muchima conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Indian government and people. He underlined that the shipment is a manifestation of solid bilateral ties and a shared dedication to improving public health in both countries, and it goes beyond simply delivering essential medical supplies.
He stated, “This shipment is a potent representation of our common dedication to bolstering health systems and providing services where they are most needed.” We are constructing a healthier Zambia together. All people will be healthy if we work together.

The gift, which was first promised during former Indian President His Excellency Mr. Ram Nath Kovind’s 2018 State Visit, is a component of continuous initiatives to assist Zambia’s healthcare system.
